General Statement
The dress code is designed to further and reinforce a core value of equality for all at Vista. Not every item can be listed in the dress code. We hope that a general understanding exists that any item of clothing, any style of dress, hair, or adornment, that draws attention to a student is restricted. We believe a student’s character, personality, and abilities should draw attention to him or her, not their appearance. Interpretation of the dress code will be through the perspective described above. If there is any uncertainty or lack of clarity, once the interpretation is clarified, it is anticipated that students will follow the dress code with exactness.
All clothing must be in good repair, without holes.
Dollar Denim Day
Dollar denim days are the first Friday of each month. Students may wear jeans by paying a PTO volunteer one dollar at the door. Denim should be long pants in any shade of blue with no holes. Denim skirts, overalls, shorts and dresses are not allowed. This is a PTO fundraiser that provides amazing activities for Vista School. Students should wear either a polo shirt or a spirt shirt with the denim blue jeans.
